Brian Hill - book writer

I originally set out to become a graphic artist but after three years of juggling that and a parallel life in the theater, the theater won out and I dove into an acting career that kept me steadily employed for many years doing everything from those big Livent shows (Raoul in Phantom, Joe in Sunset) to the wonderful Shaw Festival acting ensemble (Counselor-at-Law, Ubu Roi, On The Town). A gradual shift out of acting and into directing led to four seasons as Artistic Director of the Confederation Centre Young Company, a number of years as an Associate Director and Director at the Stratford Festival and an eventual move to NYC to join Disney as Resident Director of the Broadway company of The Lion King and Associate Director of The Little Mermaid. Somehow during all of that I found time to write with my partner Neil Bartram. You’ll find the fruits of our labors on this website.
Our musical The Story of My Life had its Broadway premiere in February 2009 and was nominated for four Drama Desk Awards for Book, Music, Lyrics and Outstanding Musical.
