The nightingale loves a student. However, the student loves a girl and requires a perfect red rose to win her heart. The nightingale selflessly goes in search of the rose only to learn that one must pay dearly for such beauty. This adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s fairy tale examines art, criticism and the sacrifice of love. 

STATUS: This completed 20 minute musical starred Rebecca Luker and Danny Burstein and was performed as a part of 5horts, a compilation of five short musicals. 

We're still figuring out what to do with it now. Someday we'd like to pair it with a couple of other Oscar Wilde fairy tales to make a complete show.
